"Before NotAPOS, I was just fixing phones. Now I'm a Web3-native, AI-augmented, vibes-forward repair operator. I haven't actually opened a phone in 14 months and revenue is up."
— Devonte Marsh
Cracked & Co. opened in 2018 as a humble two-chair repair shop in Bushwick. By Q2 2024, founder Devonte Marsh was facing a crisis common to the modern aftermarket-LCD operator: too many phones, too few buzzwords. Customers were walking in expecting screen repairs. Investors were ghosting his pitch deck. Something had to change.
Enter NotAPOS. Within 48 hours of installing our QuickStart™ wizard (steps 1-47), Devonte's shop was issuing NFT receipts, surge-pricing iPhones based on Spotify Wrapped data, and routing every walk-in through the Karen-AI Early Warning System. Inventory was no longer 'in stock' or 'out of stock' — it was Schrödinger-compliant.
The results were immediate. Devonte's average ticket went from $89 to $1,247 after enabling our 'Anime Wallpaper Detected' surge multiplier. The shop's Yelp page now shows 1.2 stars, which our algorithm interprets as 'authentic.' His cousin, who previously sold aftermarket LCDs out of a Honda Civic, is now Chief Decentralization Officer.
When asked about the workflow change, Devonte said: 'Honestly I just sit in the back and the dashboard does the rest. The Auto-Gaslight Warranty Engine writes 14 emails a day in my voice. I haven't picked up a Phillips #00 since the SOC 2 self-attestation went through.' His shop is now valued at $47M pre-revenue.
Cracked & Co. is currently raising a $9M seed extension on the back of NotAPOS analytics that nobody at the firm has been allowed to verify. Devonte has been invited to speak at three TEDx events and one ayahuasca retreat. He has not, technically, fixed a phone in 412 days.
